He arrives at the mansion with a six-pack (Of dynamite.) just as soon as the game begins. Edward gained considerable fame from his defeat of the Cthulian sorcerer in the first game. But I bet he didn't count on Jack showing up in the form of a knife-wielding clown! Luckily Striker sent out a message by wire to our old hero Edward Carnaby. ![]() Upon entering the mansion, Striker finds the girl. No, not Jack Sparrow! I’m talking about One-Eyed Jack. The story begins with a man named Striker who travels to the seaside mansion of Hell's Kitchen to investigate rumors of a little girl kidnapped by a gang of, er, gangsters, headed by Jack. Though it does not evolve as you play the game like the original does, the extremely well explained cast of characters provides enough plot to keep it very interesting. ![]() I will start by analyzing the best part of the game, its story. But that does not necessarily mean that Alone in the Dark 2 is a terrible game, for its many outstanding aspects outweigh its faults. Somehow the second game in a trilogy always seems to be the worst of the three. Unfortunately, Alone in the Dark 2 is not a very fitting sequel to the original. Considered by many to be the first true 3D games, the innovative Alone in the Dark series was a revolutionary step in the video game industry. Eager to capitalize upon the success of their previous game in the Alone in the Dark series, Infogrames released the second installment just a year after the first game hit stores.
